Cort Ahl

Cort joined SDCL in 2023 as part of the Volery Capital acquisition.
He is a Partner on SDCL’s Private Equity team based in Greenwich, CT, where he focuses on sourcing, executing, and managing growth equity investments.
Cort’s responsibilities also include membership on the investment committees of SDCL Private Equity and the Volery vehicles, as well as serving on portfolio company boards.
Prior to joining Volery, Cort was a member of Apollo Global Management’s financial services group, where he focused primarily on control investments in financial services companies across insurance, asset management, specialty lending, consumer finance, and other areas.
Prior to Apollo, Cort was a member of Neuberger Berman’s private equity team, where his transaction experience included direct buyout and private credit investments in enterprise software, business services, and technology companies.
Cort began his career in investment banking after graduating with a BA from Duke University.
