Formerly known as BAWAG P.S.K. INVEST GmbH, the firm was founded in 2001 as the result of a merger between Bawag Invest GmbH and PSK Invest. The firm dates to 1956 when Creditanstalt established Österreichische Investment Gesellschaft, which merged with Bank Austria’s investment company in 1998 and became Pioneer Investments Austria in 2006. PIA is headquartered in Vienna and manages mutual funds, pension funds and funds of funds for institutional clients and private individuals. They are a socially responsible investor and signatory to the UN Nation Principles for Responsible Investment and aim to create sustainable value for their clients, employees, local communities and shareholders.

Pioneer Investicni Spolecnost as (PCI) is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Italy-based Pioneer Global Asset Management SpA, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of UniCredito Italiano SpA (MI: UC). Established in 1995, the firm manages domestically-registered mutual funds and distributes offshore Pioneer funds managed within the parent group. PIC is located in Prague. Their clients are institutions, high-net worth individuals and retail investors.
