John Stathis

Mr. Stathis is an Operating Partner at Atlas, having joined in November 2015, and is based in New York.
Prior to joining Atlas, Mr. Stathis spent 30 years in the Investment Banking industry, most recently as a senior executive and Managing Director of Barclays Investment Bank.
He held various roles at Barclays including Global Head of Prime Services Division responsible for the sales, trading, operation and technology teams for Fixed Income, Equities and Agency Derivative Services.
Mr. Stathis was also Head of Distribution for the Americas and Co-Head of Global Distribution for Capital Markets Activities.
He was a member of numerous committees including the Corporate and Investment Bank Operating Committee and Barclays Senior Leadership Group.
He joined Barclays in 1999 as Head of Distribution and Research in the Americas and was part of the management team that built the Investment Banking Division of Barclays.
Previously, he spent 10 years at JP Morgan where he was a Managing Director and Head of Institutional Fixed Income Sales and also served as Vice Chairman of the Western Region of the investment Banking Division.
Prior to that he held various positions at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and L.F.
Rothschild Inc. Mr. Stathis is a member of the Advisory Board of Coherence Capital Management, LLC., Trustee and Foundation Board Member of the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia, and Board Member of Good Shepherds Services.
Mr. Stathis received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
