Matthias Schönberg

Matthias Schönberg is currently the Chairman-Management Board & CEO at SIMONA AG.
He is also the Co-Managing Director at SIMONA Beteiligungs GmbH and a Member of the Supervisory Board at Simona Asia Ltd., Simona Engineering Plastics Guangdong Co. Ltd., Simona Iberica Semielaborados SL, and Simona Polska Sp zoo.
In the past, Mr. Schönberg served as the Chief Executive Officer at Continental Tire the Americas LLC and ContiTech Schlauch GmbH.
He was also the Director of Finance, Sales & Marketing at Continental Mabor Industria de Pneus SA. From 1998 to 2015, he was the Managing Director at Continental Tire México.
Prior to that, he was the Managing Director at Vogtländische Musikinstrumentenfabrik GmbH from 1994 to 1998.
Mr. Schönberg also held the position of Head of ContiTech Fluid Technology at Continental AG.
From 2015 to 2018, he was the VP and President for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Axalta Coating Systems Ltd.
