Specific areas they have invested in include industrial wireless products for mobile units, standards-compliant, secure and scalable Wi-Fi system for businesses, private label telecommunications messaging software, convergent fixed-to-mobile services to the Swedish SME market, MVNO for wireless communications M2M and a provider of message services. BrainHeart focuses primarily on firms located in Scandinavia as they believe close contact with their portfolio firms' management teams is vital for success. They typically take Board seats. They may consider investment beyond the Scandinavian region but not as a lead investor. Currently they do not foresee international expansion. BrainHeart generally prefers a trade sale exit strategy while they evaluate all exit strategy possibilities to achieve an optimal outcome for both the portfolio firms and the shareholders.
