Independent bottom-up fundamental research is the cornerstone of their Canadian and foreign equity strategies, while rigorous top-down fundamental research, independent of sell-side analysis and of credit rating agencies, is the cornerstone of their actively managed fixed-income strategies, resulting in opinions that are independent of market views.

RBC GAM is an active, engaged and responsible investor that manages Canadian, US and global equity, fixed-income and balanced portfolios. Their investment approach relies on a variety of fundamental and quantitative research and technical analysis. The firm invests across a variety of sectors. Their fixed-income strategies focus on investments in government securities, investment grade bonds and high yield corporate bonds. In addition, they offer a debt strategy for emerging markets in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as investment strategies based on the use of futures, forwards and options.
