Mitchell Dann

Mr. Mitchell Dann is a Principal at Sapient Capital Management LLC.
He has spent over 20 years working with healthcare start-ups, serving as a venture capitalist, advisor, entrepreneur and executive.
Dann founded Sapient Capital in 2000 and currently serves on the board of directors of GRAFTcath, TranS1 and ValenTx.
Previously, he formed M.
Dann & Co. in 1991 to provide strategic, financing and management assistance to emerging medical device and healthcare service firms.
During the nineties, a significant portion of his time was dedicated to Urologix, a company he co-founded.
Prior to that, he was with Investment Advisers (IAI) as a buy side analyst following emerging growth companies.
In 1983, he co-founded the venture capital division of IAI, called IAI Venture Capital Group.
From 1983 to 1991, funds under management grew to over $150 million.
Dann’s investment focus became healthcare and he was responsible for investments in 18 companies and several venture capital partnerships.
Mr. Dann received a B.S.
in engineering management from the University of Vermont.
