Mahesh Swaminathan

Mr. Mahesh Swaminathan, CFA MBA, is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse Securities.
He will be part of the securitized products sales and trading desk where he will oversee both mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and asset-backed securities (ABS) strategy and marketing, focusing on the firm’s agency MBS sales and trading platform.
He Mahesh has more than 20 years of experience in MBS strategy and prepayment modeling.
He joins Hilltop Securities from Goldman Sachs, where, as the Agency MBS strategist, he advised the MBS trading and sales desks and clients on trade ideas and market insights, as well as updated prepayment models.
Prior to his time with Goldman Sachs, he led MBS strategy at Credit Suisse.
Mr. Swaminathan also served on the board at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. Mr. Swaminathan received his MBA from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Penn State, and a B.Tech in Mining Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
He is a CFA charterholder.
