RSTW Partners invests subordinated debt and equity capital in middle-market companies throughout the continental US. They focus on investments in privately-owned and publicly-held companies operating in a broad range of manufacturing, distribution, service and specialty retail industries. The firm does not invest in start-up or development-stage companies, financial restructurings, bankruptcy reorganizations, financial institutions, real estate or oil and gas exploration. RSTW looks for companies with annual revenues of at least $25 million and operating income of at least $2.5 million. Companies should have an experienced management team, a significant market share and/or strong niche market position, definable barriers to competitive entry and the potential to grow internally or through acquisitions. RSTW participates in buyouts, strategic acquisitions, recapitalizations and internal growth financings. Investments typically range from $10 million to $30 million. The firm may make investments in excess of $30 million through co-investments with their partners. Investments are usually structured as subordinated debt, and to a lesser extent, preferred and common stock.

Functions as a College/University

Capital Point Partners provides mezzanine securities to middle-market companies throughout the US. The firm invests in a wide variety of transaction types, including buyouts, recapitalizations and refinancings, mergers and acquisitions and growth/expansion situations. They invest in companies owned by established equity sponsor groups, companies with fundless sponsor involvement and also directly with strong management teams. Capital Point's investment size typically ranges from $3 million to $15 million, but they do consider participating in larger debt offerings. Capital Point's strategy is to make interest-bearing debt investments, primarily focusing on senior subordinated debt with warrants. They also invest in many other forms of structured debt and equity. Capital Point invests in a wide variety of companies, including manufacturers, service-oriented businesses, distributors, retailers and other specialty businesses across many industries. Capital Point does not invest in real estate or oil and gas exploration. They invest across the US and also in select opportunities in Canada and Mexico. Most transactions focus on privately-owned companies but they also invest in publicly-traded companies.
