Katie Daniels is CPP Investments’ Head of Compliance, located within the legal department.
Before joining CPP Investments, Katie was a long term member of staff of the Ontario Securities Commission, acting as Deputy Director in both the Corporate Finance and Enforcement branches.
In her leadership role, she developed deep expertise in securities law, corporate governance and regulatory issues, along with litigation and risk management.
Prior to joining the OSC, she practiced commercial litigation with a large Toronto firm.
In addition to her past role at the OSC, Katie was a member of the Board of Directors of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA), an umbrella organization representing all state and provincial securities regulators in North America.
Katie graduated from the University of Toronto law school in 1992 and earned her Global Professional Masters of Law (GPLLM) from the University of Toronto law school in 2012.
