Mr. Allan is responsible for Digital Applications, leveraging his technical expertise Executive Director and Shareholder at Frontier Economics where he established and grew the firm’s first Asia office in Singapore.
Major projects included winning and leading a multi-year project to design the Singapore Secondary Gas Trading Market; delivering Singapore Power Services’ 10-year strategic plan and advising Singtel on its decision to enter the Singaporean electricity retail market Recognised as a global energy expert, James speaks regularly at industry conferences across Australia and Asia, was an inaugural member of the Who’s Who energy expert list and has been listed in 2018, 2019 and 2020 Known for his actionable insight, James has conducted bottom-up reform of power and gas markets, changed the regional structure of the Australian electricity market, set retail regulated electricity prices for millions of Australian households, designed carbon/renewable energy schemes and supported AUD$15 billion plus in energy transactions and investments James holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne majoring in Theoretical Physics and a Master of Economics from the University of Sydney
