Florri Mendelson

For over 18 years, Florri has worked to create highly successful companies in dynamic and challenging industries.
Throughout her career, she has specialized in leading turnarounds, early-stage businesses, and companies in transition, serving in key senior management positions on both a full-time and consulting basis.
As President and CEO of Innovation Works, Florri is responsible for establishing and executing the organization’s strategic direction, as well as overseeing all internal operations.
In the role, she helps to evaluate investment decisions, manage the company’s existing portfolio, communicate with key stakeholders, and coordinate with complementary organizations and associations.
Prior to assuming the position in August 2000, Florri served in a consulting role as part of Innovation Works’ senior management team to help develop and launch the organization’s investment model and strategic plan.
She was also instrumental in establishing and strengthening relationships with outside investors to create an effective angel investor model for Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Today, these initiatives serve as the cornerstone of the Innovation Works strategy.
Florri received her BS in Operations Research from the University of Vermont in 1983 and went on to do graduate work at Carnegie Mellon’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration.
