Earl joined HealthEdge as an Operating Partner in 2017 and has over 30 years of global healthcare industry experience encompassing the medical device, distribution and services sectors across the patient care continuum.
Earl currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fund II portfolio company Advantage Medical Cables as well as Chairman of the Board of Westone Laboratories and Board Director of Spectrum Medical Partners, both Fund III companies.
He also supports the ongoing evaluation of investment opportunities for HealthEdge Fund III.
Prior to joining HealthEdge, Earl was CEO of two middle-market, private equity backed healthcare product and specialty distribution companies and provided consultant services to a variety of public, private equity, and family owned businesses.
In addition, he served as a Corporate Officer at Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HRC) where he led three strategic business units and the US service organization, and as Group Vice President for Welch Allyn, Inc. where he led two business units and had regional management responsibility for Latin America as well as oversight of corporate M&A and global Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
Earl also spent eleven years with Elekta AB (EKTAB), ultimately serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Elekta Inc. and began his healthcare industry career at Baxter International.
Outside of HealthEdge, Earl is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Skaneateles NY Recreational Charitable Trust and is the former Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Auburn Memorial Hospital, Auburn, NY.
Earl graduated with distinction and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the Virginia Military Institute.
He spent the first several years of his career teaching and coaching in the Lynchburg, VA public school system and later as a graduate assistant football coach at the University of Virginia.
