They use both top-down and bottom-up analysis to select investments. In addition, the firm uses options and futures and occasionally invests in ADRs and private equity opportunities.

MSCA specializes in the evaluation and selection of credit throughout the capital structure. The firm emphasizes smaller to middle-market companies that have lower volatility and higher yields with a low correlation with other asset categories. Returns are generated through a concentrated portfolio of long and short positions. They construct portfolios opportunistically using absolute and relative value orientations.
