Alexander Davis

Alex Davis founded Disruptive in 2012 upon realizing that top private technology companies were staying private longer and lacked requisite access to capital.
Historically, the investment process was inhibited by bureaucracy, and he saw space in the market for an organization that could quickly evaluate investment prospects and deploy funds.
He also saw that investors often desired, but lacked, access to the private technology securities market – Disruptive could bridge that gap.
Prior to founding Disruptive, he served as the Founding Managing Director of Ten-X, LLC (formerly Auction.com), where he led the company in its transition from a traditional auction company into a technology-enabled marketplace.
He was responsible for building the first true online real estate auction platform, which became the largest online real estate marketplace in the world.
Alex and his wife, Lindsay, co-chair The Davis Family Giving Fund, which is dedicated to helping those less fortunate.
He lives in Austin, TX with his wife and two daughters.
