Thierry Chignon - Managing Partner
Thierry Chignon has over 30 years of experience in Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Trials with particular focus on the medical device sector, including a first experience as Head Pharmacist with Institut Mérieux (10 years, now Sanofi Pasteur).
As Managing Director with Quintiles Consulting Europe (now IQVIA), between 1997 and 2006, he defined and participated in the implementation of business development strategies for innovative products in Europe.
Thierry also worked for 5 years as an expert of the Commission of the European Union preparing Guidelines and Regulations for medical devices.
In 2006, Thierry joined Matignon Investissement to raise and deploy the first French fund dedicated to European medical technologies (Matignon Technologies II, €80M), including oversight of 8 investments (50% Growth Capital, 50% Venture Capital).
Thierry joined Mérieux Equity Partners in 2014, as Senior Partner, to launch and manage Mérieux Participations 2 (€150M), then Mérieux Participations 3 (€377M) with several investments in Capital Development and Buyout.
Thierry holds a Degree in Pharmacy, a Master Degree from IEP Paris (Sciences Politiques) and an executive MBA from HEC Paris.
