Shan Li

Shan Li is the founder and CEO, Director & Founding Partner of San Shan (HK) Ltd., which was founded in 2005.
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Taoshi Energy Equity Investment Fund (Shanghai) LP, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Taoshi Private Equity Investment Management (Shanghai) Co., and Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Chinastone Capital Management Ltd. He is also the Chief Executive Officer & Director of Silk Road Finance Corp.
Ltd. Dr. Li holds the position of Vice Chairman at the Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong and the Silk Road Planning Researching Center.
He is the Chairman of Beijing International Wealth Management Institute.
Dr. Li is the Executive President-Governance Institute at Tsinghua University and a Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
He is also a Founding Partner of San Shan Capital Partners Ltd., which was founded in 2005.
Dr. Li's former positions include Chief Executive Officer of BOC International Holdings Ltd., Vice Chairman of UBS Investment Bank AG, Managing Director & Head-China Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers, Inc., and Executive Director-Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs International.
He has also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Credit Suisse Group AG and Silkwave, Inc. Dr. Li has held various director positions at companies such as 51job, Inc., Jaguar Acquisition Corp., ENN Natural Gas Co., Ltd., Fang Holdings Ltd., Sunway Co., Ltd., Digital Link Investment Ltd., and San Shan Advisers.
He has a doctorate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a graduate degree from the University of California, Davis, and an undergraduate degree from Tsinghua University School of Economics & Management.
