Mr. Wendelin brings over 24 years as a senior investment banker.
During that time, Mr. Wendelin has acted as investment banker on merger and acquisitions and advisory assignments totaling over $4.0 billion and has raised over $7.0 billion of capital for clients worldwide.
Mr. Wendelin was Executive Vice President and on the Board of Directors of Sutro & Co., as well as Director of the Investment Banking Department.
He lead Sutro’s real estate investment banking activities which included capital raising, advisory services, and investor conferences for leading REITs nationwide.
He was responsible for leading the strategic direction of Sutro’s industry and practice groups, as well as developing Sutro’s growing merchant banking activities.
Mr. Wendelin was Salomon Brothers’ second investment banker in Los Angeles starting in 1984.
In building Salomon’s L.A. presence through 1995, he was advisor to many Boards for mergers and acquisitions, defense strategies, and multibillion-dollar corporate restructurings.
Mr. Wendelin advised senior managements and Boards on over $3.5 billion in mergers and acquisitions, and raised over $4.5 billion in equity and debt capital domestically and internationally.
Mr. Wendelin is a 1976 graduate, cum laude, of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University where he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
He received a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 1979.
