Ridle Markus

Mr. Ridle Markus is a Macroeconomist of Sub-Saharan Africa at Absa Capital Securities (Pty) Ltd. Prior to his current role, he was a Senior Macroeconomist in the Absa Group's Economic Research department.
He held this position from 2005 to 2008.
Mr. Markus joined Absa from Standard Bank where he was a Retail Bank Strategy Analyst for two years.
He was an Economic Analyst at JP Morgan Chase from 1998 to 2003 prior to which he was an economist at the South African Reserve Bank.
His professional qualifications include an Associate Diploma in Banking from the Institute of Bankers in South Africa, a Certificate in Central Banking from the South African Reserve Bank's Training College and an International Capital Markets qualification from the South African Financial Markets Institute.
In addition he has completed the Registered Persons Exam at the South African Financial Markets Institute Mr. Markus holds a Bachelor of Commerce(Honours) degree from the University of the Western Cape and a Masters degree in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.
