L. Price Moncrief

Mr. Moncrief is an Executive Vice President and Partner at Five Point Energy.
Prior to joining Five Point, Mr. Moncrief served as Chief Financial Officer of Oilfield Water Logistics (OWL), a water midstream company with operations primarily in the Northern Delaware Basin of southeast New Mexico.
As a member of OWL’s executive team, Mr. Moncrief was responsible for company strategy, M&A, and all financing and accounting activities.
Prior to joining OWL, Mr. Moncrief spent 10 years at Concho Resources and served in various leadership roles, including as a member of the Executive Committee, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Midstream, Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy, and Vice President of Capital Markets and Strategy.
As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Midstream, Mr. Moncrief was responsible for developing Concho’s strategic plan as well as overseeing the company’s commercial marketing operation, which on a daily basis sold over 300,000 barrels of oil and over 1 Bcf of natural gas.
Additionally, Mr. Moncrief led the development of Concho’s midstream joint ventures, including Alpha Crude Connector, Oryx Midstream Services and Beta Crude Connector.
Prior to joining Concho, Mr. Moncrief was an energy investment banker at Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. and J.P.
Morgan.
Mr. Moncrief is a past Board Member of Alpha Crude Connector, Oryx, WaterBridge Resources, Beta Crude Connector, and is a founding Board Member of the First Tee West Texas.
Mr. Moncrief holds a B.S.
degree in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University and an M.B.A.
from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
