John Wong

John Wong moved from his native Curaçao to the Netherlands to study at the Technical University of Delft where he gained a masters degree (Civil Engineering - specialisation building physics).
He also received a masters degree in Business Administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Rotterdam School of Business).
He started his career at ABN Bank in the Netherlands in the Planning and Control department, he specialised in strategy and organisational consultancy.
His next move was to the Special Credits Department of ABN Bank, where he dealt with companies with financial problems and in particular to reduce the risks for the bank and to restructure debt facilities.
He then joined the private equity business at ABN AMRO in Amsterdam where Mr Wong focused on equity and mezzanines in small and medium sized companies in all industry sectors.
In 2000 he became part of ABN AMRO Capital's IT team investing in promising IT companies in western Europe where he concentrated on managing and realising exits of portfolio companies.
In 2006 he moved to Favonius.
