John R. Cannon

Mr. Cannon joined American Capital Strategies in June 2003 in the Chicago office.
Prior to joining American Capital, he spent four years with Waud Capital Partners, a $115 million private equity fund in Lake Forest, Illinois.
While at Waud Capital Partners, he solicited, reviewed and executed new investment opportunities in the manufacturing, distribution and services industries and served on the board of directors of Alarm Security Group L.L.C.
and Parish Publications, L.L.C.
Prior to Waud Capital Partners, Mr. Cannon was in the Investment Banking Division of both the New York and Chicago offices of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he worked on numerous merger and acquisition assignments in the manufacturing and service industries.
Mr. Cannon serves on the board of directors of American Capital portfolio company Kester.
Mr. Cannon received a B.S.
in Accountancy from the University of Illinois.
In addition, he serves as co-Chairman of the Chicago Association of Private Equity Executives (CAPEX).
