Joao Cesar

Mr. Joao Cesar is Senior Investment Analyst in the Asia Pacific Research Division covering the energy, utilities, industrials and materials sectors at Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong) Ltd. Mr. Cesar initially joined Mirae Asset in the Brazil office in October 2010, and shortly afterwards moved to Hong Kong.
In his role, he provides investment recommendations and analysis of energy, utilities, industrials and materials sector trends and also maintains coverage of key companies.
Mr. Joao Cesar began his career at Deutsche Bank Brazil, where he started as an intern in Credit Risk Management and subsequently moved to the LatAm Institutional Equities Sales and Trading Desk from 2006 to 2007.
He then moved to join JP Morgan Chase Brazil, working as an Equity Research intern covering the Agribusiness sector in Latin America.
Prior to joining Mirae Asset in Hong Kong, Joao continued his internship in Advisory at Olimpia Partners, focusing on middle markets' M&A and debt restructuring.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He is multilingual and speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
