James Louis Lipscomb

James Louis Lipscomb is the founder of Center of Hope (Haiti), Inc. founded in 2004.
He currently holds director positions at Metropolitan Property & Casualty Insurance Co., MetLife Foundation, Metropolitan Life Property & Liability Insurance Co., Graffiti Ministries, Inc., New York State Bar Association, The Economic Club of New York, The State Bar of California, and The Southern District of New York.
His former positions include President & Chief Executive Officer at Conning Corp., Chairman at Citizens Budget Commission, Inc., and Executive Vice President & General Counsel at MetLife, Inc. He has also held director positions at General American Life Insurance Co., GenAmerica Financial Corp., and The Life Insurance Council of New York, Inc. He is a member of the California State Bar Association and The Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
Mr. Lipscomb received his undergraduate degree from Howard University in 1969 and his graduate degree from The Trustees of Columbia University in The City of New York in 1972.
