Fredrik Sontag

Fredrik Sontag is a Director at HIG European Capital, Paris.
Prior to joining H.I.G., he spent nine years in the mergers and acquisitions industry, both as an advisor and investor.
As a Vice President at Lazard, in Paris and Milan, Mr. Sontag has advised on transactions valued at over €50 Billion, in various industries.
As Vice President for acquisitions at Rexel, a worldwide leading B2B distributor based in France, Mr. Sontag also led some 10 transactions valued at over €1 Billion in the U.S., and in a number of European countries.
More recently, as an Investment Director with a private equity boutique, he completed the acquisition and restructuring of four businesses with a value in excess of €300 Million.
Mr. Sontag has a Master degree in Corporate Law from the University of Nanterre.
