David Dietz

Mr. David Dietz is a Head of Life in North America at Zurich American Life Insurance Co. and a President, Chief Executive Officer & Director at Zurich American Life Insurance Co. He is on the Board of Directors at Zurich Holding Company of America, Inc. and Zurich American Life Insurance Co. He is responsible for the direction, management and performance of the Life business in the U.S.
He also manages the performance of the Zurich Life legacy block in the U.S.
Prior to his most recent appointment, he served as the CEO of Global Life North America, responsible for Zurich Life and Farmers Life business in the U.S.
He joined Zurich in 2009 and moved to his current role in July 2016.
Before joining Zurich, Mr. Dietz served as President and CEO of the AIG’s Life Wealth Management Group and as President and CEO of United States Life Insurance Company.
His prior appointments include CEO of Prudential Select Life Insurance Company, President of First Financial Resources Inc., and Senior Executive Vice President of Integrated Resources Life Companies.
He began his career as an advanced underwriting attorney for Mutual of New York.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School.
