Ms. Beatrice Covassi is a Head of Representation at European Commission.
From 2010 to 2014 Ms Covassi worked as First Counsellor at the EU Delegation to the United States of America in Washington DC, where she was in charge of the newly created transatlantic digital economy and cybersecurity portfolio.
In this role, she coordinated efforts on internet governance, cybersecurity and online privacy, including political coordination with the EU Member States.
In 2008, she was awarded an EU Fellowship at George Mason University (Arlington, U.S.), where she taught a course on New EU Media Policy.
Ms Covassi graduated, cum laude, and EU law from the faculty of Political Science "Cesare Alfieri" at the University of Florence (Italy).
She holds postgraduate degrees from the College of Europe in Bruges (Promotion Tocqueville) and from the Academy of European Public Law (Greece).
