Alex Smith

Mr. Alexander J.
Smith is a Managing Director at Robert W.
Baird & Co., Inc. He began his career at Baird in 1995 within the firm's research department, where he focused primarily on equity investment strategies.
In this role, he was a member of the firm's stock selection committee and developed several quantitative research products, including the Equity 20, the Baird Recommended List and the Private Client Idea List.
He joined Baird's Private Wealth Management Group in 2002 and focuses his efforts on Private Investment Management, where he develops and manages client portfolios on a discretionary basis.
Before joining the firm, he served several years in the U.S.
Navy as a flight engineer on a surveillance/reconnaissance aircraft and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
Mr. Smith received his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Governors State University and his MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Marquette University.
He is also a Certified Private Wealth Advisor.
