He is currently a Director of Pure Gold Mining, Inc. and Vice President-Mining Operations of Coeur Mining, Inc. He was the Vice President-Operations of Metallica Resources, Inc. from 2006 to 2008 and the Chief Operating Officer of Fronteer Development Group, Inc. from 2009 to 2010.
He was the Vice President-Operations of Cerro San Pedro.
He is a Trustee of the American Exploration & Mining Association (Washington) and a Member of the South Dakota Mining Association, Inc. He received his undergraduate degree from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in 1985.
