Shankar Anant

Mr. Shankar Anant is Operations Specialist at Valor Management Corp.
His responsibilities include identifying, assessing, facilitating, and executing operational improvement projects at Valor portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Valor in 2011, Mr. Anant consulted with two leading lean consulting organizations for over five years.
From 1992 until 2005, he served in several roles across multiple divisions of Danaher Corporation, including Process Engineer, Quality Manager, Quality Director, Kaizen Promotion Manager, Operations Director, and Director of Lean Business System.
He was mentored in the Toyota Production System in Japan and the US by Shingijutsu, a leading TPS consulting organization.
Prior to 1992, he served in engineering roles at a South Carolina based manufacturer of automotive bearings and an India based manufacturer of high performance metal cutting, forming, and mining tools.
He received apprenticeship training in the German tradition.
Mr. Anant has a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Auburn University, a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, India, and a Diploma in Business Administration from St. Joseph's College in Bangalore, India.
