Mr. Lieh Piao Wang, CFA, is Vice-President & Senior Portfolio Manager at Sentry Investments, Inc. He joined Sentry in 2017 and is focused on North American equities.
He has more than 20 years of experience analyzing stocks, and managing institutional and retail portfolios spanning Canadian equity, U.S.
equity, balanced, asset-allocation and dividend mandates.
He also has expertise in managing options strategies and applying quantitative techniques to managing fundamental portfolios.
Prior to joining Sentry, Mr. Wang worked for a major Canadian insurance firm.
During that time, he headed up the Canadian equity team and managed the firm’s largest mandate, with more than $2 billion in assets under management.
Most recently, he was the manager of the firm’s U.S.
equity mandate and was the lead member of the Asset Mix Oversight Team.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has completed the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course.
