Koonar, CFA, is a Principal & Portfolio Manager at Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd.
He joined Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel in June 2011 to expand the practice in Alberta and is based in Calgary.
He is responsible for providing investment management services for private clients and charitable foundations.
Mr. Koonar began his career in 1993.
He has worked for a major Canadian and global financial institution on the brokerage and investment counseling side.
He was a Portfolio Manager with a national investment counsel firm in Calgary, prior to its acquisition by a major Canadian bank.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2000 and also holds the Certified Financial Planner designation.
He is involved in numerous community organizations and served on the Calgary Society of Financial Analyst's board for two years.
