American Geophysical Union (AGU) is an international nonprofit scientific association with 60,000 members in 137 countries. The private company is based in Washington and welcomes visitors to the first net-zero renovated building in DC, which includes a state-of-the-art conference center. AGU promotes discovery in earth and space science for the benefit of humanity by providing career and educational resources, webinars, mentoring services, and support for students and professionals at all levels in earth and space science. AGU publishes award-winning books in topics of relevance to scientists in academia, government, and industry, as well as the larger earth and space science community. AGU also has a variety of honors that recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to earth and space science through scientific research, education, science communication, and outreach.
