Ying Zhang

Before joining CBC, Mr. Zhang held several management positions in both China Netcom Group (Hong Kong) Limited (NYSE: CN and HKEX: 906) and China Netcom Corporation Limited.
He has taken charge of equity financing (IPO and private placement), M&A and operational management.
With the efforts of Mr. Zhang, China Netcom has successfully listed in the New York Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 2004, and acquired Asia Global Crossing (NYSE: AX) through a New York bankruptcy proceeding in 2003.
Mr. Zhang also served as a consultant of McKinsey & Company for three years, where he helped many multinational and local Chinese companies on their business and investment strategies and organizational restructuring, and assisted one of the largest Chinese companies preparing its initial public offering on NYSE and HKEX in 2000.
Mr. Zhang received a master degree in business administration from China Europe International Business School and a bachelor degree in finance from Tsinghua University.
