Tom LaMacchia

Tom LaMacchia is a Managing Director and General Counsel of Certares.
Prior to joining Certares, he was the Senior Legal Counsel with the Qatar Investment Authority (“QIA”), where he advised QIA on its major international corporate and real estate investments, including its investments into American Express Global Business Travel and Travel Leaders Group.
He previously was a partner at White & Case LLP in Tokyo, where he specialized in M&A transactions and investment fund formation.
He began his legal career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York.
Tom is a member of the Investment Committee of Certares Management LLC.
Tom received his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law School, where he graduated summa cum laude, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University.
