Thorsten Weihrich

Torsten joined BayTech Venture Capital as Head of Finance and Operations in 2006, and is responsible for finance & reporting, accounting, portfolio controlling and investor relations.
Previously, he spent six years at RTV Family Entertainment AG, a publicly listed media company and former subsidiary of Ravensburger AG.
As CFO, he focused primarily on mergers & acquisitions and business development.
He led multiple M&A activities, including transactions in Germany, the Netherlands and Australia.
He also advised and controlled the subsidiaries in financial matters, evaluated business proposals and led the Finance and Investor Relations department.
Prior to that, he worked as a financial specialist at the risk management department of BMW AG, where he mainly managed group-wide currency, foreign exchange rate and liquidity risks.
He also supported international subsidiaries in funding and risk management related topics.
He started his professional career as a consultant in the shareholder value practice at Roland Berger Management Consultants, where he predominantly advised clients in M&A related problems.
He received his BA from European School of Business in London and Reutlingen (Germany).
Torsten is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
