Prior to joining RiverFront, Mr. Porterfield was the Founder and Managing Principal of Advisor PT, an industry-leading Performance Coaching and Consulting Firm.
Previous to founding Advisor PT in early 2009, he spent 15 years with Wachovia Securities, LLC, and its predecessor firms.
He worked in the asset management and retail brokerage areas of the firm.
His last assignment was National Sales Manager for Wachovia Securities Financial Network, the independent arm of Wachovia Securities, LLC.
Previous responsibilities include Regional Vice President for Mentor Investment Group, Director of Business Development for Profit Formula, a semi-independent Advisor platform designed for practices above $1 million; National Recruiting Manager for the firm’s Private Client Group and Regional Director for Wachovia Securities Financial Network.
Mr. Porterfield earned a BA in Economics and English from Emory & Henry College.
He is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at The University of Pennsylvania-Wharton School of Business.
