Mr. Garboden joined MMA in 1976.
He started as an actuarial student working with health insurance and annuity products.
He later became information systems manager.
In 1985, he was named vice president of administrative services and became chief financial officer in 1992.
In 2000, he took on responsibilities for MMA’s health services which include all health insurance plans.
Mr. Garboden received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Goshen College and his master’s in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Steve also served as interim president of MMA from September 2005 to January 2007.
