Roman Filatov

Mr. Roman Filatov is Head of Equities & Managing Director at Sberbank Asset Management CJSC.
He has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry and managing assets.
Mr. Filatov worked at IXIA Asset Management as Director and also managed a portfolio for private clients featuring stocks of companies from Russia, U.S., and Europe.
Mr. Filatov was the Director of ACCENT Investment Management, where he participated in the formation of the company’s hedge fund business, which serviced high net worth clients.
Prior to that, Mr. Filatov was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Renaissance Investment Management where he managed ruble- and dollar-denominated accounts featuring a range of different strategies.
From 1996 to 2008 Mr. Filatov at the Russian office of Templeton Asset Management, holding various positions from Investment Analyst to managing director.
During his tenure with the company, he served on the Board of Directors of the department store GUM, the confectionary manufacturer Krasny Oktyabr, the automobile maker GAZ, and the aviation company Tyumenaviatrans (known as Utair since 2002).
Mr. Filatov graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with a Master’s in Mathematics and Mathematical Economics.
He also has studied at the American Institute of Business and Economics in Moscow (1993-1994).
