Robert Wood

Mr. Robert Wood is an UK Economist at Merrill Lynch International.
He is a Director and Chief UK Economist.
He is based in London.
Previously, Mr. Wood was Chief UK Economist at Berenberg and Senior Economist at the Bank of England, where he worked for 12 years.
Prior to leaving in 2012, he ran the Bank of England’s UK team of seven economists charged with forecasting near-term GDP growth.
Before that, he spent four years on the Inflation Report forecasting team, advising the Monetary Policy Committee.
Prior to that, Mr. Wood held an assortment of positions, including housing market specialist and Asia Economist.
He holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, both from the University of Warwick.
