The firm was founded in 1985 and formerly known as Rensburg Fund Management Ltd. In 2011, they were acquired by Franklin Templeton and were renamed Franklin Templeton Fund Management Ltd. Headquartered in London, FTFML offers a range of equity and fixed-income funds that covers different market sectors, geographical areas and asset classes for institutional investors, and segregated account and sub-advisory services for those with specific requirements.

Rensburg Fund Management Ltd. (RFM) is the fund management subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Global Investors Ltd., itself a subsidiary of Franklin Resources, Inc. (NYSE: BEN) in the US. Formerly a subsidiary of Rensburg Sheppards Plc (LSE: RBG) in the UK, the firm was acquired by Franklin Templeton in 2011. RFM is based in Leeds and manages the Rensburg Unit Trusts for retail investors.
