Mr. Paul Christie is Head of Marketing at Emergent Asset Management Ltd.
He is responsible for the sales and marketing of Emergent's alternative investment businesses including new product development.
Mr. Christie began his career at MW Marshall in the interest rate derivatives business.
Having played an advisory role in the set up of the gilt repo desk, he went on to join Clearstream Banking to develop and market their tri-party securities financing and credit products.
In 2000, Mr. Christie joined JP Morgan to develop the non-USD collateral trading business within the Derivative and Counterparty Exposure Management (DCEM), a unit that specialized in credit and exotic derivative markets.
In 2002, Mr. Christie joined Brook Street Partners (BSP), a hedge fund marketing firm, which was uniquely retained by Dresdner Bank's prime brokerage arm to offer independent capital introduction services to its hedge fund and private equity clients.
In 2005, Mr. Christie joined ILEX Asset Management, a European long/short credit hedge fund, as Director of Marketing.
Mr. Christie joined Emergent Asset Management in 2007.
At Emergent, his focus has included the development of Emergent's UCITS 3 products as well as the firm's three core macro related hedge fund strategies and private equity products, which includes the African Agricultural Land Fund.
Mr. Christie holds an Honours degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, and a Maitrise in International Business from L'Universite de Savoie in France.
