Mr. Nick D.
Lodge is a Managing Director of Siraj Capital Dubai, and Partner at Siraj Capital Ltd.
He was formerly Managing Director and Co-Founder of intellectual capital partners limited, a specialist private equity investment management firm, focused on sector and geographic strategies and targeting smaller to medium sized transactions.
He has experience in a wide range of private equity, investment management and advisory roles, undertaking a number of investments and providing advice and strategy to international firms during his career.
Mr. Lodge was instrumental in the establishment of a $100 million Shari'ah compliant private equity fund together with Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain).
He previously worked for New Zealand's largest and most successful investment management firm as an Investment Manager with a portfolio of $750 million.
Mr. Lodge has also served as the General Manager Corporate Development for one of Australasia's leading diversified chemicals companies, with a market capitalisation at the time of $450 million, in this role Mr. Lodge successfully transacted over $250 million of acquisitions and divestments.
For the past five years Mr. Lodge has been working in the Middle East and is permanently based in Dubai, UAE.
He has spoken at a number of regional and international conferences on the subjects of Shari'ah compliant investment and private equity and he recently co-authored a chapter of Euromoney's book "Islamic Retail Banking and Finance: Global Challenges and Opportunities", Mr. Lodge has also contributed articles on these topics to a number of international publications.
Mr Lodge has over 16 years of international investment banking and investment management experience, with expertise in deal origination and execution.
Mr. Lodge was educated in the UK and New Zealand and is a graduate of Massey University, New Zealand.
