Mr. Mike Taylor is the Chief Executive Officer at London Pensions Fund Authority.
A former Honorary Secretary of the Society of County Treasurers, he joined LPFA in September 2006, having previously held the County Treasurer role at Surrey County Council since 1998.
In all, he spent 25 years with Surrey, holding a variety of posts in finance specializing in overall financial planning and education and social services accounting.
Before joining Surrey, he worked for the London boroughs of Southwark, and Hammersmith and Fulham.
Mr. Taylor obtained a degree in Mathematics from University College London and then trained as a Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy with the London borough of Westminster.
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy Pensions Panel, and regularly chairs the National Association of Pension Funds Local Authority Forum round table
