Mike Huycke

Mike is an Executive Partner for Hidden Harbor.
In this role, Mr. Huycke works hand in hand with the investment team and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and operating niche market leading businesses in the business services and industrial sectors.
Mike has over twenty-five years of experience as an operating executive driving operational efficiency and profitable growth in environmental and industrial services businesses.
Prior to joining Hidden Harbor, Mike served as Area President for Republic Services, a Fortune 300 Company and leading solid waste and recycling services provider in the US.
In this role, Mike was responsible for all aspects of a $900M P&L including overall market and growth strategy, capital deployment, asset utilization, operations, safety, regulatory compliance, labor relations, and customer and employee experience.
Mike was consistently recognized for driving revenue growth, operational efficiency and expanded operating margins while he successfully secured or renewed over 30 contracts totaling $100M per year.
Mike later served as Republic Services’ Senior Vice President of HR leading the Company’s strategic talent functions including HR operations, talent acquisition, organizational development, diversity and inclusion, training and learning solutions.
Mike brings diverse leadership experience in both operations and human resources to create a competitive advantage for Hidden Harbor.
Mike holds a B.S.
in Business from Willamette University and completed the Advanced Human Resource Executive Program at the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan.
