Schall President, Chief Executive Officer & Director bij Essex Property Trust, Inc. en President, Chief Executive Officer & Director bij Essex Portfolio LP (een dochteronderneming van Essex Property Trust, Inc.). De heer Schall is tevens lid van de raad van bestuur van Pebblebrook Hotel Trust en National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, Inc. en lid van The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, lid van National Multifamily Housing Council en Director-Emeritus bij Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County. In het verleden bekleedde de heer Schall de functie van Chief Financial Officer voor The Marcus & Millichap Co., Chief Financial Officer voor Essex Property Corp., Finance Director bij Churchill International en Principal bij Ernst & Young LLP. Hij behaalde zijn doctoraal aan de Universiteit van San Francisco.
