Michael Leung

Michael joined Lumira Ventures in August 2022; as Controller, Michael will focus on the finance, legal, and operations of the Lumira investment funds.
He will continue to enhance the implementation of financial policies and procedures around risk, governance, and compliance to manage the investment funds.
Michael will leverage his experience to perform financial analysis with the investment team as part of the due diligence process.
Prior to Lumira Ventures, Michael joined Searchlight Capital Partners, focusing on the financial management of the private equity funds, assisting in investment capacity analyses, and liaising with the investor relations team.
Prior to Searchlight, he worked as an external auditor with EY, specializing in the banking, asset management, and capital markets sector.
In addition, Michael works extensively in managing events and conferences with Ascend Canada, an organization focusing on inclusion, diversity, and leadership amongst Pan-Asian business leaders.
