Leon J. Munson

Leon Munson is a newcomer to the Hawaii Council on Economic Education, joining the Executive Committee in 1996.
Mr. Munson is a vice president and principal at Cadinha & Co., a registered investment advisor serving clients in twenty states and the District of Columbia.
In his role as investment advisor for over thirty years, Mr. Munson has gained a keen appreciation of the effect economic policies have on capital markets and capital flows.
He believes it is very important for future generations to have an understanding of economics.
Mr. Munson graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno with a B.S.
degree, and has been the head of trust investment departments of First Interstate Bank of Nevada and First Hawaiian Bank before joining Cadinha & Co. in 1985.
His spare time is spent reading anything and everything, golf, movies and enjoying the arts.
