The firm was founded in 1931 and formerly known as Wayne Hummer Investments LLC and changed their name to Wintrust Investments LLC in 2018. In 1981, after serving investors for 50 years, Wayne Hummer Management Co. was formed to provide discretionary, fee-based, investment management services. In 2002, Wayne Hummer Management Co. merged with Wintrust Financial Corp.
