John Floyd

Mr. Floyd leads the global macro investment team.
Prior to joining Harbert, he was a Director and Senior Proprietary Trader at Deutsche Bank from 1999 to 2003.
He was responsible for managing an allocation of the bank's capital using a discretionary macro strategy in the currency, fixed income, equity, and commodity markets of OECD and emerging market economies.
Mr. Floyd also acted as an adviser and strategist to senior management and top tier investor clients.
From 1996 to 1999, he was a senior portfolio manager of Swiss Bank Currency Fund, a currency and fixed income macro hedge fund, where he directed portfolio management, analysis, and specific trade recommendations for the partnership in both the OECD and emerging markets.
In 1995, Mr. Floyd worked at Argonaut Capital Management, a macro hedge fund, where he was a partner and co-portfolio manager.
From 1994 to 1995, he was employed by George Weiss & Associates, an equity money management firm where he was the currency portfolio manager.
Mr. Floyd began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he was a proprietary trader and marketed FX products and strategies to investment advisors from 1987 to 1994.
He earned a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University and graduated from Phillips Academy Andover.
